About
KeyValueStore.com publishes free tools for the people who run key-value stores: Redis and Valkey clusters, DynamoDB tables, and the caches and stores built on the same ideas. Each tool does one job you’d otherwise do by hand, with an old script, or by pasting your data into someone else’s website.
What the Tools Are For
Key-value stores are simple on the surface: every value is filed under a key, and you get it back by asking for that key. The work comes around the edges. Which cluster node holds this key? Why did that command fail with CROSSSLOT? How do I load two million rows tonight? What’s actually in this keyspace? What happens when we add a server? The tools answer questions like those, and the guide to key-value stores covers the ground underneath them.
How the Tools Are Built
- They run in your browser. The tools don’t send anything anywhere, and each tool page’s security policy stops it from fetching or loading anything from another site. What you paste stays on your machine, and the tools keep working offline once loaded.
- One library file each. Each tool’s logic is one JavaScript file with no dependencies. The web page, a command line in Node.js and the tests all load it, so there’s nothing to install and nothing to build.
- Checked against the real thing. Each tool was checked against real servers or reference code: Valkey 9.1.2 and Redis 8.10.2 built from source, the AWS SDK, the Python
mmh3package, the code printed in the jump hash paper. The recorded answers and the results are published with the code, the tests replay them, and each tool page says what was checked. - A manual for each. Every tool’s folder on GitHub has a README that explains the technology in plain words and covers every option.

Questions People Ask
Is it really free?
Yes. The tools are free to use here, and the code is free to take under the Apache License 2.0.
Does my data go anywhere?
No. The tools run in your browser and don’t send anything anywhere. Each tool page’s security policy also stops it from fetching or loading anything from another site, such as a script or an image. You can check it: the pages work with your network switched off once they’ve loaded.
Which versions do the tools work with?
They were tested with Valkey 9.1.2 and Redis 8.10.2, the current releases in October 2026. The cluster slot rules and the protocol haven’t changed in years, so older versions work the same way. Where a version matters, the tool says so.
Are you connected with Redis, Valkey or AWS?
No. KeyValueStore.com is independent. Redis, Valkey and DynamoDB are trademarks of their owners, named here only to say which systems the tools work with.
Can I suggest a tool?
Please do. The contact page has the address.
